How long will the hair in my lace wig, cranial prosthesis, frontal or crown closure last?
A hair can last for many months depending on your usage and upkeep.
Why does it take 4 - 5 weeks to make my full or front lace wig or cranial prosthesis?
Each lace wig is measured and shaped to fit each client’s head based on the measurements and selection of color, texture, density and length. Each Remy hair strand is hand tied to the lace. For a quality product, the time period of 4 to 5 weeks is required. For women in a hurry, we sell in-stock full lace and glueless lace wigs. Stock lace wigs can be delivered in 3 days. We can also semi-custom stock lace wigs.

Can adhesives damage my hairline?
Yes, adhesives can damage your hairline if not properly applied or maintained. We recommend liquid adhesives be applied just below the hairline to limit damage to your natural hairline. Overtime, adhesives will breakdown and have been known to cause thinning. To lessen damage to your hairline, we recommend removing and reapplying adhesives on a regular basis. When removing your lace wig, Please allow sufficient time to undertake this process by allowing the lace release or remover to separate the wig from your hairline. DO NOT be tempted to rush the process.
As a general rule, the longer the unit remains without reapplying, the higher the likelihood that damage will occur to your hairline.
Will adhesives affect my hairline?
Adhesives will breakdown over time and have been known to cause thinning. Divas Lace Wigs recommend that adhesives are removed and reapplied on a regular basis. As a general guide, the longer the unit remains without reapplying, the higher likelihood that damage will occur.
How long does this unit last?
Our full lace wigs can last from six months to one year, but will usually thin around the perimeter from the application of glues or tapes and removal solvents. Our no glue or glueless lace wigs can last from six months to one year or longer, since no adhesives or solvents
are used or required. How long your wig will last also depends on how you care for your wig. Styling method, products used, glue type and removal process are factors to the longevity of your wig.
How often should I remove my lace wig for cleaning?
If worn every day, we recommend washing your wig once every 10-14 days.
How do I shampoo my lace wig for frontal while using extended wear bonding methods?
Generally speaking, use lukewarm water and moisturizing shampoo and conditioner for your human hair wig. Divas Lace Wigs provides all customers with a hair care guide with purchase.
Adhesive remover left an oily film.
Use lace release or alcohol to remove the residue, but it may then leave an oily film. To remove the oily film you simply rinse or wash the unit. This is important because the new adhesive will not stick to the oil based adhesive removers.
I removed my lace wig and there is sticky residue in the lace.
Spray adhesive remover or equivalent oil based solvent onto the sticky lace and then wait as long as it takes to break down the residue. Depending on which type of adhesive it is, this could take 20 seconds to 20 minutes. Next, carefully wipe away the sticky residue with a lint free rag.
I have glue in my hair.
Spray some adhesive remover or equivalent oil based solvent where needed. Wait a few minutes. Using a fine tooth comb; gently comb and wipe away residue.
Can I use a curling iron on my lace wig?
Yes! All of our items (lace wigs, lace frontals, and crown closures, etc.) are 100% human hair. We only use premium quality Remy and Virgin Remy human hair
available. You can use your normal styling tools (crimps, curling irons, flat irons, hot rollers, etc.) to achieve various hairstyles to suite your fashion needs. Please remember that with all human hair, excessive heat may damage the natural cuticle, just as it would your own natural hair.
Can I color or highlight the 100% Remy Hair myself?
Our lace wigs are made with 100% Remy human hair. We strongly recommend that you do not color the hair since our 100% Remy human hair products have been processed. If you color the hair, it may become over processed or damaged. We are not responsible for damage caused during this process. Women who have experience in coloring this type of hair, have been known to do so. If you are interested in coloring the hair, we suggest our Virgin hair since it is free from processing.
What is a lace frontal?
A lace frontal is the front part of a lace wig, which gives the appearance of an invisible hairline. Lace frontals can be used with weaves, as a hair restoration unit, or to repair your current lace wig. You can wear with your natural hair or any hair extension.
How do you apply a lace wig or frontal?
Both are applied using an adhesive glue or tape, which you have to buy separately, we do not carry any products. Do not put the adhesive on your own hair, because it will damage your hair.
