It seems that no industry was immune to the threats of the coronavirus.

Many factories in China outsourced wig making to North Korea. North Korea stopped the production of lace-based hair products in early 2020. Currently there is no timeline when North Korea will reopen. Full Lace Wigs and Glueless Full Lace products are extremely scarce or no longer available to purchase from most factories in China and companies in the United States. In your search results, you will notice that lace front wigs, and other wig types are the only wigs available at the moment. And most of the factories are unable to replenish their inventory. Fortunately, for us, Divas Lace Wigs, our factory didn’t outsource the majority of hair products to North Korea, but maintained the production at their factory. As a result, our factory is able to produce the quality custom lace-based products, if no stock product is available.
These shortages have caused prices to increase at the factory and for the consumer. As the price of lace-based products increases, most American companies have increased their prices to cover costs. The cost to purchase a full lace or glueless lace wigs are increasing everywhere.
